Michael McDonald On The ‘Yacht Rock’ Resurgence

Because of social media, we BELIEVE that all forms of music should be represented on the live broadcast. It seems like it was mostly pop and some Hip Hop. Why not Gospel? GOD was mentioned only a few times.

Think about this seriously. If it wasn’t for GOD, there wouldn’t be a “PITBULL” pop artist.  Think about that!

The Dodge brothers were a notorious duo, so it seemed only natural to partner with the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band. “Whenever I talk to people about Motley Crue, the common thread is how cool and relevant the band remains even after 33 years,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO, Dodge Brand, Chrysler Group LLC. “This irreverent ‘staying power’ resonates deeply with the Dodge brand as we turn the corner on our 100 year anniversary. What better way to celebrate the band’s final tour and the 25th anniversary of Kickstart My Heart than to do it together?

sum up the American Music Award Show aired Sunday, November 23, 2014. In my opinion, it was all about Glamour, Glitz and Power.
Some artists were OK to Good. There was too much emphasis on teen to 20’s. A few country artist were featured like Luke Bryan as a presenter and Garth Brooks in a live performance from Greensboro, North Carolina.

Diana Ross made a rare appearance as an award presenter. Mary J Bligh had a great solo performance and was probably the best to represent the 40’s audience.
