Chick-fil-A Shares Our Biblical Principles in Face of Controversy; Chick-fil-A October Statement, Editorial by VP of When Magazine
By Curtis Ray Bizelli
As the Chick-fil-A controversy comes to a slight closure, there will always be tons of lost business for the company. We have a feeling that this doesn’t affect Chick-fil-A “all that much” according to their recent October Statements about the company’s biblical principles in which, we, at WM also share.
Oct. 03, 2012 Chick-fil-A Statement
Chick-fil-A is a family-owned and family-led company dedicated to serving the communities in which we operate. From the day Truett Cathy started the company, he began applying biblically-based principles to managing his business.
For example, we believe that we are stronger because of such principles as closing on Sundays, going the extra mile in service, treating others as we want to be treated, and devoting a percentage of profits back to our communities. Those same principles have been applied throughout the history of Chick-fil-A and still apply today.

When you’re being led by God whether it be in life or business, you don’t seem to care as much about money and corporate power like some do (mhm, Wal-Mart). We honor Chick-fil-A for standing up for God driven principles that more in this country should do also.
Its our mission at When Magazine to provide a beacon of light in a world of so much trash, yet we also must stand up for our core values and “bring this great country back to its grassroots principles” … even if that means controversy.
