A man is shot at several times close range and God Spares Him From Death!

Doug is a man of many great stories; as a matter of fact sometimes I have to try and keep him grounded in the business matters around us. He has big dreams and is very much in tune with God’s Will For His Life, however that is just like myself which is why he makes such the perfect business partner. Anyway, this is a story he told me once, a few months ago on a skype conversation, face to face over the internet.
Doug states, “About five years ago I met a gentleman in Hobby Lobby, Franklin, TN. He seemed to be in deep thought & unfocused; in his own reality. I approached this man and asked, ‘What’s Wrong?’ He said, ‘About a year ago I almost died’.”
Doug replies, “How did that happen?” The man then says, “Well I don’t really know you. Why should I tell you?” Confused why he would bring it up in that case, Doug simply says, “You need to trust somebody. Can you trust me?” The man replies, “I have a hard time trusting people but I will talk with you” … “About a year ago I was in a poker game. I thought I had a great hand but was picking up tells from my opponent that he had a better hand. I decided to bluff close to $100,000 on the table. It was very intense, both of us heads up, the guy keeps calling, pushing in chips. He put in another 15K. My opponent said put 15k in the pot to stay. “OK, I’m going to call” (note: not the recommended move in this situation but “somebody” or “something” must have been telling this man to keep pushing). And there it was on the table laid out: STRAIGHT (that is what his opponent had) … “What do you have?” …
Our man looks down and says, “I have FOUR OF A KIND ACES!” I was ready to collect and started to put my hand on the money, and my opponent says “Hold! wait a minute you’re not taking this money!” … I said, “I won this fair and square. You’ve got to give me the money.” The opponent pulls out a gun and points it at our gentleman, “You sure you wanna take this money?” the opponent says one last time – then the gun goes off but no bullet comes out. Shoots Again, No Bullet. “Why can’t I shoot you?” … By the third time he threw the gun at our gentleman. He even missed by a few feet throwing the gun! “Dude why can’t I shoot you or hit you?”
This man that was placed in the path of Doug (for a reason), SAYS TO HIS OPPONENT THAT’S TRYING TO KILL HIM, “The reason is I got saved about 8 months ago. God won’t let you shoot me or hit me.”
His opponent states in defeat, “Wow you have somebody powerful behind you” … Our gentleman take the money and vows to never gamble again!
Do we know what happened after the story? Could the opponent have been touched? We don’t know, but one thing we do know is that GOD placed this man in Hobby Lobby, Franklin, TN at the same time Doug would be there so he could share with us his story which is now being passed on to you. What you decide to do with it is completely up to you. Remember, God is God of Love!
