Operation Iraqi Freedom: Is it Over?
by Curtis Ray Bizelli
“HOOAH!” United States Soldiers Are Now Exclaiming as it appears that the long and troubling war with Iraq has ceased to an end. After 7 ½ years of men and women fighting for stability and peace, the war “appears” to be over. Does this lead to a final conclusion or is there more to come?
From the sources WM has studied, including MSNBC.com and WashingtonPost.com, “The 4th Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, which left Iraq this week, was the final U.S. combat brigade to be pulled out of the country, fulfilling the Obama administration’s pledge to end the U.S. combat mission by the end of August. About 50,000 U.S. troops will remain in Iraq, mainly as a training force.” (I “unquote” Washington Post).
So, there you have it, “Operation Iraqi Freedom” has come to and end after 7 ½ years of turmoil. We thank God for the lives spared, and the freedom not lost. Yes, there were unfortunate events just like with any war and those lost lives will remain in our hearts forever, However WE CHOOSE to focus on the POSITIVE!
God has a promise! He has plans!
We could speculate that this is not the end of terrorism or anything of that nature. There are other things that we could speculate on however we’ll leave them in a closed book until God shows its due time to reveal them.
Either way, In The End! Amen! May the Men and Women of the United States Armed Forces walk home to their families with pride in their hearts that they were heroic and that they fulfilled their commitment to their country and ultimately to the human race!
God Bless America! God Bless Iraq! God Bless the World! “May HIS will be done on earth as it is in Heaven …”

This is terrific news. And I’m thrilled you are presenting the best in life. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing this. I am so happy they are coming home to their families.
Curt,
Your post here brought back many memories of the day my son called to say goodbye from Iraq. I heard a loud explosion and then silence on the end of the phone. It was a devastating day. Three days later he called from the hospital with a wound in his arm but he was alive.
I praise God that our men and women are coming home. Wars, and rumors of wars, will remain in our world until the final day it all comes to a halt. That is the day I look forward to.
Abundant Blessings,
Kellie
